Birthday Card with Lots of Texture...

cheerylynn corner die

Kris made this card especially for Kathy. The Az scrappin sisters had a wonderful lunch at Rosie's Italian Cafe for a host of laughter at this reunion of friends.

There were many gorgeous b-day cards-if I had pixs, I'd post them all. Come'on gals, send me your pixs.

The raised and framed owl card front has "loads of texture" with popped-up colored leaves and frame with another layer on top of a clear plastic SU lattice die.

The owl is perched in a mirage of beautifully colored fall leaves on a branch in a tree. The background card layer is dry embossed  with dots and inked with star-like shapes. It's easy to imagine an owl up there watching us from his "birds eye view."

Sandy Taught Cardmaking at the DL Senior Center

Sandy taught how to make this style of a masculine shirt card. Many varieties of DSP; some cards have 2 collars and some have only one. A variety of sayings were also used; "Dad ROCKS"  " "Best Dad in the World"    "World Class Dad"  "Happy Father's Day!"  Lots of Fun.

Two collars with brads on the tie...
Harry, a volunteer & right-hand assistant to Sandy picked out his favorite card to keep for himself.

Just a few of the 12 cards made...

Marilyn's Father Day Card

Marilyn made this Father's Day Card for her 91 year old father.  It has REAL fly fish hooks, too. He also fly fishes occasionally. Marilyn's husband ties flies so the fly on the right as you are
looking at the card.   Impressive!
