Carol Teaching How To Make Homemade Paper

Carol teaching how to Make homemade paper at SPAM Club. A little messy but fun.

After the papers and water are well blended, yoyo pour into the container with water. Then with a screened frame, we jiggled the pulp onto the screen and squished out the water with towels. After drying in the sun, see the product below.
The brown parts are paper towel bits in the pulp.

Sandy Making Vintage Tags

Sandy took a class in May at the new vintage craft shop, "The Paper Collage"  in SCW. They made collage tags with wax finish. They all had a lot of fun.
First, we sprayed the tags with colors; I chose pinks and blue Dylusions Ink Sprays.
While tags were drying, we cut or tore and distressed a variety of vintage embellishments, trims, pictures, stamps, metallic and gold heat embossing.
Collage style...Dyed ribbons at the top. Love it!

We glued and layered to make the collage effect.
Then melted & sealed both sides with hot wax pellets... all the colors became more intense.
Having fun? YES.  Messy? YES.

Love it!  Check it out:     http://thepapercollage.blogspot.com
